The two days program is specially designed for participants who handle chemicals and responsible for chemical management at their workplace. The programme is aimed at helping participants to understand the types of the chemical exposure at the workplace, identify chemical hazards, handle and manage the chemicals safely through the application of chemical registry and safety data sheets, and lastly, to minimize the exposure of chemicals from potential adverse health effects. Participants will also learn the safe practices for chemical storage and wastes disposal, and the appropriate response to emergency situations, chemical spillage and basic first aids. In addition, the requirement to comply to the Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemical Hazardous to Health (USECHH 2000), and Classification, Labelling and Safety Data Sheet of Hazardous Chemicals (CLASS 2013) regulations will also be discussed. The training also emphasizes the requirement of the accredited laboratory to comply to MS 1042 (Safety in Laboratories -Code of Practice) and MS ISO 15190:2020
